Dave Cavey called the HZBA meeting to order on March 11, 2004 at 12:05 pm.

Officer Reports:

1. President - Welcomed everyone to the meeting.
2. Secretary - Reminder that the meeting minutes are distributed via e-mail to those members who have provided their e-mail address on their application. Secretary will also make available the meeting minutes upon request.
3. Treasurer - Jeanne Reynolds reported that HZBA ended February 29, 2004 with $7,001.39 in the checking account. A copy was forwarded to Glenn McCalley. Paulette Campanella requested that the Financial Report be distributed at each meeting.

Committee Reports

1. Directory - The drop-dead date from submitting your ad along with $100 is now May 15, 2004 (originally April 15, 2004). Rose need between 18 and 24 ads to cover the cost of printing and distributing this Directory. So far she has only a few ads that have been paid for. Rose also needs to know who has paid for membership so she knows whom to include in the one-line ad.
2. Membership - John Mays reported that HZBA has five new members:
   a. Donald Fox, CPA
   b. Gosnell Insurance
   c. Hereford United Methodist Church
   d. Hereford Driving School
   
3. Web Master - Glenn will make the necessary changes to the first page of the website as to the new meeting time.
4. Welcome Book - Al Copp reported that the book is not yet ready for distribution. He passed around a sing up sheet for volunteers for distribution. He mentioned that one of the local papers would have a write up about the Welcome Wagon book. Kathy Wheatley mentioned that businesses should review the ad they submitted back in September 2003. (For example - Waypoint has something in their ad about interest rates. That may have changed. Jeanne will look at the ad).

New Business:

1. Budget - Kathy Wheatley requested that the Executive Committee prepare and present a Budget as soon as possible.
2. Insurance - Al Copp reminded everyone that we do not have any Director and Officer Insurance. He made a motion for Dave Cavey to research the options and purchase the best policy. Cost of insurance is not to exceed $1100.00. Paulette Campanella made a second to the motion.
3. Food Bank - Some people brought potatoes. We did not discuss what the item should be for the next meeting.

Open Forum:

1. Executive Meeting - Dave Cavey presented that highlights from the February 26, 2004 Executive Meeting. He mentioned that our Charter had expired and he was working to get the problem resolved. He mentioned Zoning Issues that everyone is talking about and asked Paul Cummins to make a special presentation (Paul is the Guest speaker today). He also mentioned Promotion of Small businesses in light of several small businesses that have closed in the area.
