Dave Cavey called the HZBA monthly meeting to order on September 9, 2004 at 12:00 pm.

Officer Reports:

1. President - Dave welcomed everyone to the meeting and everyone introduced themselves.
2. Secretary - meeting minutes are provided via e-mail. See Sharon Devin with any corrections. Sharon will be out of town today.
3. Treasurer - report approved and seconded.

Old Business:

1. Mini Golf - It was decided that we would like to do the Mini Golf Tournament, but we should postpone it until Spring 2005. Diane Fowler agreed to work on this event to publicize it.
2. Ad for North County News - News about distribution. A copy of the insert was passed around. Everyone was pleased.

Committee Reports

1. Directory - printed. Hold off on distribution. Rose did not attend the meeting.
2. Membership - No report.
3. Web Master - No report. Glenn is out of town.
4. Welcome Book - Al said that he could not continue as Chairperson. Kathy Wheatley has volunteered to take this over.
5. Fall Fest - Mary gave a report. A 40' x 40' ten is being donated by JB Jennings. It was decided that the previous years' signs could not be used and new ones were being purchased. An increase in budget to $2400 was voted on and approved.
6. Raffle Basket - John reported that the response has been good. It looks like he will have 5 baskets. He is looking for bulky items. He is receiving a lot of gift certificates.

New Business:

1. North County Traffic Meeting - David Cavey gave a report on a community meeting about traffic in North County. He asked if someone had specific concerns to let him know.
2. Fundraising Meeting with HFVC - David Cavey attended a meeting and gave input on how the Fire Hall should go about soliciting money from local businesses. The group had a short discussion about this.
3. Appointment of Nominating Committee - Reviewed the proper procedures for this committee. John Mays, Al Copp and Steve Kinsey make up this committee.
4. Committee vacancies - Discussed the various openings for each committee.
5. Budget - Discussed budget and asked for committee members to supply a proposed budget.
