Dave Cavey called the HZBA monthly meeting to order on October 14, 2004 at 12:00 pm.

Officer Reports:

1. President - Dave welcomed everyone to the meeting and everyone introduced themselves. Dave talked about our By Laws, what is in the By Laws as they pertain to the Terms for each Officer.
2. Secretary - meeting minutes are provided via e-mail. See Sharon Devin with any corrections.
3. Treasurer - Ending balance is $9379.46. Al Copp made a motion to approve and Kari Hagan made a second to the motion.

Old Business:

1. Committee Vacancies - Greater participation is needed from all members. This topic will be discussed in depth at the November 11 meeting.

Committee Reports

1. Directory - Completed. Rose has copies for everyone. Those who have store fronts are encouraged to take some extra for display and handing out. Total project cost $2919 (??) Collected $1800 in advertisements. The Directory will be distributed in the November or December North County News.
2. Membership - The newest member is Wireless Zone.
3. Web Master - The website is up to date. Glenn is looking for someone to take over the design of the website.
4. Welcome Book - Al Copp has resigned as the Chairperson for this committee. Kathy Wheatley is the new Chairperson.
5. Fall Fest - The 40' x 40' tent is up. Members are needed to setup and tear down of the tent and area. Set up beings Friday, October 15 and tear down is late afternoon Sunday, October 17. Mary has a layout of where businesses will be setting up their displays. Come early Saturday, October 16 to set up your area.
6. Raffle Basket - John reported that 51 contributors have donated 145 items to be distributed among five Baskets (approximately 26 items per basket).

New Business:

1. Nominating Committee - Recommendation of Slate of Officers. Secretary-Kathy Wheatley; Member at Large-Dennis Meadowcroft. Both members have agreed to serve as Officers in the 2 year term. No nominations from the floor.
2. 2005 Budget - Not discussed in depth. The budget was passed around for members to view.
3. December Meeting - Where - either at Pulse in Sparks or the Wheatley's new office in Hereford. When - December 9. Time - ?????? Al Copp said he will prepare a selection of items for the affair.
